Podolinsky Equipment is proud to partner with Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, to offer this exceptional apprenticeship program designed specifically for John Deere equipment.

This 36-month apprenticeship program gives you a competitive edge over traditional farm equipment apprenticeships by providing an additional 4 months of specialized training exclusively on John Deere machinery. Throughout the program, you’ll alternate between time in the classroom and hands-on work at Podolinsky Equipment, gaining valuable paid experience in a real-world service environment.

During your studies, you may also be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits and apprenticeship grants, making this path financially viable while you learn. Plus, Podolinsky Equipment offers tuition assistance to support your education. As you successfully complete each level of the program, you’ll be rewarded with wage increases, recognizing your growing skills and expertise.

Program Overview:

You’ll study advanced systems including John Deere diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, fuel, drivetrain, air conditioning, braking, planting, and harvesting equipment. You’ll gain proficiency in high-tech electronics, computer diagnostics, and cutting-edge AMS Precision Farming Technology. Our technicians undergo extensive training through John Deere University, requiring:

  • 150 hours of technical training to achieve Advanced standing

  • 225 hours for Master’s standing

  • Plus ongoing yearly updates to stay current with the latest technology.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will write the Certificate of Qualification exam, officially certifying your skills as a John Deere Technician.
